But granting McDonalds permission to trade in this location would be totally disproportionate to the name Lyde (Danish for "Sounds") Green. We want this community to include green and open spaces to encourage health and well-being, something which is definitely not aligned with McDonalds ethos and product offering.

I don't live here but a Leisure Centre would be better for the area.

As a new community, we need places to take our families to eat fresh, healthy food. There are plenty of McDonalds restaurants nearby already. Don't kill our community before it's even got going.

I am due to move into Lyde Green after buying a new property in this area. I strongly oppose a McDonald's at Lyde Green. Quality leisure facilities and recreational spaces would be in far greater benefit for residents wishing to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I am a member of the Lyde green community and I need a gym not a fast food restaurant

I would of thought sports facilities would be more in need than junk food. Also McDonald's are moving to 24HR restaurants which is also a concern for the area. There customer base has reduced significantly over the last ten years due to the hard work independents and ironicall local authorities/government funding health education. Absolutely ludicrous proposal from a failing Council.
