As a Granny with a bus pass, I see this as a nasty slap. Surely the bus companies should be encouraging children to become bus travellers not the opposite

Ridiculous if I use the bus I have 4 kids to pay for I wouldn't be able to afford to take them to school

This is incredibly short sighted and purely profit driven .. there are so many who will now drive instead as the bus is such a rip off ! So more congestion on the roads....how can the council allow this ?

Incredibly unfair especially for families who cannot afford a car, or learn to drive or for those on very low income families

I'm utterly shocked by this. I regularly have family visiting from abroad and I'm already so embarrassed when I have to tell them the cost of bus travel... It seems so incredibly greedy !

I think that this is ridiculous. Why do they have to change things, It’s going to make traveling very expensive especially for families with more than 1 child.

Disgusting he'd. This is why more people drive in and out of town. Councillors do something! First they scrap bus routes from Pinhoe into town, leaving us with 1, now this.

A crazy increase.

I use stagecoach every day when the kids are in school. Paying 3 pound for my children is a bit different from paying 3 pound per child!

Please don’t increase prices - you are cutting services when we are supposed to be encouraging people to use public transport!

Illogical decision. Not designed to ease congestion!

It’s an absolutely shocking change that will mean I am no longer able to travel on the buses with my children at all.

Making it harder to afford for the people who HAVE to use public transport! And HAVE children! Discrase.

The bus fares are a rip off as it is. The train is cheaper than the bus to get into Exeter. It costs my kids £3 a day each to get to school - from Topsham to the bottom of Barrack road. Disgusting! If you put it up any more we will not be using the bus ever again.

Disgraceful. So much for encouraging people to use public transport rather than drive everywhere!
