I have 3 children and usually walk into town and then catch the bus back because they find it too much walking both ways. With this scandalous price rise which is not in line with other parts of the country I will be driving. Great policy for the environment.

This is really going to impact our already stretched family finances. Please reconsider Stagecoach!

This is ridiculous! By all means increase the add on to go up with inflation but 200% absolute joke! People will simple stop using the buses and use the trains where possible instead. Bad and greedy move. How about putting a small fee on the OAP passes instead as most of them will have more money to spare anyway!

This means my children and I will not be able to afford to go anywhere. We do not have a car and it is too far for us to walk into Exeter. This change will have a huge impact on my family.

I, like many other parents who do not own cars, would no longer be able to take my kids to school if the prices go up. Kids in compulsory education should not pay to travel to and from school. Stagecoach services and routes are terrible. The counci has a duty of care towards the residents of thi city and must do something about this by either bringing back public transport or get more bus companies to provide services to the public. The city does not have proper walking routes for kids or less-abled people to travel safely on foot, Cowley Bridge Road is an example of this. Children and less-abled residents in that area would be completely cut off the rest of the city if bus fares increase. It is the responsibilty of the council to sort this mess out and make sure to put people before profit. I do not think the council should pay Stagecoach any of our tax money to stop this. Stagecoach should be penalised and made to pay the council more for using our city's spaces for its business. If this price hike goes ahead, parents will stand together and protest against this.

It will cost my daughter an extra 34 pound a week as she needs the bus to get the children to school, could you not ask 50pence for the people who pay nothing at the moment instead

This has just pushed me to finish my driving lessons. Another driver on the road in an already congested area

This is the last thing needed by Exeter's air quality and independent businesses

Getting children to school is essential. It isn’t a luxury. My children attend a school too far to walk because she was getting bullied in the nearest school to us. I can not afford this price increase. This effects children’s education as to which school they go to. I ask exeter council to use another company for bus transport. The impact this has on children is undiscriable

Single mum of 3 who would not use the bus any more as paying £3 each for 3 kids is out of the question and would use the train as have a rail card

I think this is horrendous, it would cost far more than parking in exeter so I won’t be taking the bus anymore
