To reform the Intercountry Adoption process so waiting children can be matched with waiting families

I think it is important that the Irish government realises how vulnerable children in institutions are looking forward to joining family! Particularly in Ethiopia....

These children need families and we in Ireland have plenty of families waiting for these children. We must bring them home NOW, not in 2 years, four years or as I had to wait for my beauty -7 years. Too many children are losing out because of lack of will and interest on the part of the Irish government....

this should not be allowed. we went through alot to adopt our children
I can't understand all this red tape when there are good family's that would love to adopt a child

I asked for a miracle to give us our own baby which was not granted but when we started on the adoption journey I never realised we would need a miracle too!! We as PAPs are totally disillusioned by the whole process. The assessment process is emotionally exhausting but finally being approved and getting a declaration which should be so joyful is now just like hitting a brick wall. We feel it is morally unjust to go on assessing and approving hopeful parents but with nowhere to go in the end.
