I was an 11C in combat in Panama (parachuted in) and in the first gulf war. 81mm then 4 Deuce mortars. Back then we were not afforded the protection of body armor or advanced hearing protection.

The VA needs to recognize issues such as this, along with hearing loss at the active duty and national guard levels.
