Dog owners should have the same rights as anybody else!

A few lazy people who don't pick up their dog mess spoil it for the others who do. I always pick up my dogs poo and I'm fed up standing in other people's dog poo in the countryside.

Sort out the bad dog owners don’t punish everyone.

We all like to walk our dogs and providing we keep them on a lead and clean up after them what is wrong with taking them to visit a loved ones grave or walking them on a beach, etc. They are part of the family

I actually collect humans' rubbish while on dog walks around the island and know many other dog owners do too. This move would be detrimental to the environment.

People travel to the Isle Of Wight so they can holiday with their dogs ... one of life’s pleasures is watching the dogs enjoying the beach. Ridiculous idea. Please don’t do this.

Of all the pointless things the council has tried to do, this is the most ridiculous. It won’t work anyway.

There are much more things that are unsafe and a nuisance that needs attending to.

The Isle of Wight is already suffering from a bit loss in tourism thanks to the difficulty and expense of getting to the Island. If locals and tourists are banned from the beaches that will further hit local cafes etc, and deter people from visiting the island...

Dogs need to run! We will end up with a nation of obese dogs as well as obese people if this becomes law on I.O.W. and elsewhere. Please reconsider!

Banning dogs in public spaces? Stupid and unnecessary in my opinion

The majority of dog walkers are good responsible owners, why deny them acces to the beauty of where they live?

One of the kindest things I see is dog bowls put outside. No where in England have I seen this and it warms my heart how much this island loves animals including dogs. Especially for the elders as companions, their joy and their reason to go on walks.. Don't make this harder for others..... Us humans make more mess, let alone when the horses poo on Appley beach (that's alot of s#@+) x

The isle of wight is a dog friendly island. This ban will have a massive impact on residents and also visitors, like myself and family, who enjoy bringing our dogs on holiday with us. The vast majority of beaches already have restrictions on when dogs are permitted on the beach and there are only a limited number of beaches where dogs are allowed all year round.
