Where we can take our dogs is already restricted during the summer season, and I reluctantly accept that, but I see absolutely no reason to restrict access for dogs to beaches in the winter.

Dogs should be allowed in public open spaces if they are under handler's control and allowed on beaches off peak or at certain named beaches all year round and they should be allowed in cemetaries to accompany owners as they are part of a family unit.

Don’t ban dogs from beaches in winter or cemeteries.

Relatives and friends that come to visit all have dogs, they love to come to the Island BECAUSE tgey can bring their dogs. As the ferry is so expensive most have already said, thats the final straw, we go somewhere else.

I already keep my dog on the lead in cemeteries and pick up his mess, like all responsible owners. Banning all dogs from parks and beaches is just punishing the majority of us.

This is so unfair to the majority of dog walkers who keep their dogs under control and clean up after them. It's not any solution to any problem that may exist as any irresponsible owners will continue to break the rules and with little or no monitoring of current rules, no fines will be imposed but a lot of responsible dog owners and their dogs will miss out on enjoying the open spaces of the island, islanders and holidaymakers alike. Do not do this!!!
