Steve has been an integral part of my law scgool experience. The sense of community promoted by his space is not replaceable.

Steve deserves better than to be treated with such indifference and insensitivity. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and his kindness encourages us to be good to each other. The Faculty of Law will not be the same without him. Horrible decision.

Steve is literally the best part of every day at the law school here at U of A. He always starts everybody's day off with a smile and a friendly hello, along with the desperately needed coffee or tea, and he is just as much an institution here as our library. The Faculty claims to be interested in promoting mental health and wellness in the student body, and has made some impressive steps forward in that domain, however, Steve is an integral part of the mental health and wellness of many, many students in (and out) of the Faculty. I think it's absolutely abhorrent that the university is willing to let such a wonderful human being go, and I personally would not support any other commercial venture that went into that space. Steve has shown over and over again how committed he is to the students of this faculty, and I am shocked and appalled that those in charge are not willing to take that into consideration.

Steve is integral to the law school and would be a huge loss to the community and the mental well-being of the law students.

"Hello My Friend Cafe" is an integral part of the student body at the Faculty of Law. To remove "Hello My Friend Cafe" from this faculty would be to remove a part of the soul of this community of students and professors.

#SaveSteve Failing to renew the lease for the Hello My Friend Cafe is a travesty. Steve is a fixture in the Law Building. He knows the students by name, he remembers the details of their lives, and he keeps extra rootbeer on hand for me because he once heard me say that I was craving rootbeer during this pregnancy. Steve needs to stay. His kindness and customer service are rarities in the world today.

Steve is the heart and soul of the law faculty. This move by the university reveals the institution's ignorance of our faculty's culture and a large measure of heartless indifference. For shame.

I can't imagine law school without Steve and his cafe! He always has hot coffee, yummy treats, and a smile on his face when I come in for my caffeine fix.

Steve is a huge bright spot in the Law building - any time I may be having a bad day, it stops right at the beginning when I get my coffee from Steve and we have a chat about whatever

Steve is often the highlight of my day. He brews good coffee and treats everyone with kindness and respect. I am an alumnus of the U of A and still make a point of visitng Hello My Friend Cafe and Steve for a coffee and conversation whenever I am in the area.

Steve was my very first interaction with the UofA law school. He helped me find student services to hand in my application. I was anxious about fitting in and wandering around the building and he calmed my nerves completely... and I had an awesome warm gooey chocolate chip cookie. Please keep Hello my Friend Cafe and Steve!!!
Keep te cafe!!!
