Steve is the kindest person at the law centre, and the most pleasant person to speak to no matter how stressed we ever got.

This is a horrible idea. Steve's smiling presence and often encouraging words cannot be replaced.

Hey, Steve is also a big favorite in the music department, too - which is right beside you lawyer types. The best spot for coffee, the biggest help with our annual grad conference, and generally, the nicest man on campus.

Steve's contribution to the mental wellbeing of the Faculty's students is priceless to the University. This couldn't be less well thought out.

Steve is one of the best and most well-respected institutions at U of A Law. He'd always be around to brighten your day. Don't take this away from future law students.
Please do not repurpose a space that already serves such an important purpose -- the owner of this shop is instrumental in creating a sense of community among the students for nearly a decade. Steve (the owner) has a particular knack for alleviating student stress - his kindness and generosity are an essential part of the student experience at the Faculty of Law.
I don't go to the U of A but I think supporting local business is important.

Steve was a major part of my law school experience. It would be a terrible shame for his sunny disposition and terrible jokes to not be around to help further law students make it through a terribly stressful time. Please allow Steve and the Hello My Friend Cafe to remain in the Gavel

This is a travesty. This man has made the university experience much more positive. He truly cared about the customers that he served! Please reconsider.

Steve is such an integral part of the Law School. He is always friendly and has a variety of sandwiched and cookies for a quick snack.

As a Faculty of Law alumni, I think this is a terrible and a terribly disrespectful decision. Steve and his café have been a welcome addition and a boost to the spirit and community of the Faculty of Law and the student experience since I was in law school (2004-2008). I strongly encourage whomever is concerned to reconsider this decision.
