To keep Heidi Kaukoranta as study coordinator in Metropolia Business School
08.10.2013 From: Metropolia Business School students To: Metropolia Business School director Helena Kuusisto-Ek On 7th October 2013, a shocking message was received that our study coordinator Heidi Kaukoranta will no longer be a part of the Metropolia Business School family and her spot will not be filled by anyone else. We do understand that the current economic and financial situation is challenging but we still cannot accept this decision. At the same time as MBS takes in more and more applicants, the number of people at the heart of the school, such as Heidi, is reduced. This means that the workload for the remaining staff will increase dramatically and the quality of the support for students will suffer. At Metropolia Business School, we believe that business, and thus business education, is not only about facts and figures but much more about people. This has so far been the key to the positive atmosphere at MBS that has made studying a pleasant journey. Until now, Heidi and her colleagues were able to support us students in any possible way; they were easily approachable, absolutely professional and always simply great. Therefore we, Students of Metropolia Business School (Helsinki Metropolia UAS), request to reconsider suspension of Heidi Kaukoranta as our study coordinator and we would appreciate an opportunity to keep her as our study coordinator.
