Immigration Officers: Your slow pace of administration has delayed the visa extension of thousands of people under the 2 Year Student Probationary Extension Visa scheme.
Some of them have a family member sick, or even dying in China, some of them have a spouse waiting in another European country to marry, some others have a wife expecting a baby alone in China, some of them have to leave their job because the visa has expired for too long due to your administrative delay.
We have waited for too long, and we can not wait any longer.
Irish citizens have been immigrants to other countries such as America or Australia: think of them and us as your family members. Would you like to have these thing happen to your family, solely due to your slow administration process?
Most of us have no visa for two months due to your administration delay now. We cannot travel anywhere and this offends against our human rights.
What you have done to us is inhumane, disrespectful and irresponsible, and incompetent.
This action of Irish immigration is a deprivation of human freedom. The Irish immigration has turned Ireland a living prison for thousands people who had been living in Ireland as good residents and who have paid tax and made social contributions for seven years at least.
We demand your immediate action to renew all persons' visas for six months to facilitate the need for emergency travel abroad. ALL applications must get a result NOW!
