It's time. African American voters feel betrayed by those who helped put the current president in office and rightly so. Trump made his plans and opinions clear enough before the election. We saw and felt it.
The issues facing our country and the world at this time, and for the foreseeable next several years demand that Biden's VP selection speaks to the hearts of those who are in the midst of the struggle of a lifetime. I cannot imagine a more suitable. pick less we welcome back either of the Obamas as VP.

Equally important, Mr. Biden must choose the African-American woman with the optimal characteristics--the combination of reach, as in strategic coattails; record, as in demonstrated effectiveness in managing and advocating for domestic policy issues of greatest importance to our community; and respect from within the administration to be a rock solid advocate for the foresaken children of God, as they are all uniquely qualified. It's impossible to build a concensus on who that is for a number of obvious reasons. Therefore, I pray that this national group of clergy remain together to see the objective through. As this black woman is most likely to be the presumptive future Democratic Party nominee, she must be empowered from the outside to be an advocate and counterbalance to Mr. Biden's self-confessed moderate ideology and demonstrated right-of-center/ policy-governing tendencies, and not a mere mouthpiece for the administration's traditional excuses, predicated on economic hardship and budget austerity, that have only brought changes to remain the same. This is neither the time nor the season for status-quo, but for transformational leadership. This is her circle of accountability with God's blessing. I'm comforted by this involvement and engagement.

This is a worthy "good and FAITHFUL servant" moment for African American women who have paid more than their fair share in the fight for freedom, social justice, and political righteousness and equality for both women and men. The Democratic Party should not take our vote for granted
I endorse this message.
