This petition is not to stop something, but to start it. To ask the Catholic Church,starting with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, to introduce charity boxes from existing registered charities into the churches. (Preferably also in close proximity to confession booths). All the money collected, bar the administration costs would be guaranteed to go directly to the people who need it the most. Although the idea is simple the contributions could be considerable if this practise becomes common place. Please sign, it doesn't take long. Thanks.
