Safe accommodations can happen. We love our families and need to be close to them. Even if it’s 6 feet with masks!

I feel if Conn. and other near by states nursing homes are allowing visitations from loved ones without being covid free for 28 days, New York should also. Please allow my sister-in-law along with many other people who haven't seen their loved ones for months visit their loved ones in nursing homes without any restrictions.

I absolutely agree! There should be a way for family members to see their family member safely. I work in a nursing home and patients need to see their loved ones.

My mother-in-law is extremely sad all the time because she cannot see her family. It is imperative that you loosen the restrictions before these people die in isolation.

Our elderly parents, many of them U.S. Veterans, are isolated from their families. This is causing depression amongst the residents... especially those who have any form of dementia because they cannot understand why their families are not visiting them. No amount of explaining will help. They simply need to see their family menbers face to face.

Keeping family members apart from loved ones does more harm. Employees that test positive should be quarantined. Do not punish the residents and their families.

Watching my father decline from the lack of weekly family visits is breaking our hearts. He counts on our visits and looks forward to them. Please grant us visits at a safe social distance while wearing masks.

LEt our loved ones out to enjoy the fresh air. Remember Clara Barton opened the windows and tore down the curtains in the hospitals to let nature in and to cure the ill. Don't abandon our most valuable elders and keep them caged in. It is inhumane. Let us visit with them and give them the love and respect they deserve!!

I do not support visiting inside the facility. I do support outside, socially distanced visits. No hugging, no touching, everyone wearing a mask If these conditions are not met, I do not support this petition

My 96 year old Dad survived Battle of Bulge. He WANTS to see his family and said he would rather risk getting this virus and die
. He has mentally declined since he has been shut in since March. This is a very devastating way to live out his last days.
