After several near misses, our family would love a safe shelter for tornado season! We live in a 1920s home with no really safe place to go in a tornado warning... A shelter would give me great peace of mind, but the cost is very prohibitive for us.

While I am not a resident of TN, I believe everyone who wants to be safe from storms should be able to.

Many of my neighbors had their homes destroyed, and fatalities within minutes of my house and the low-income housing a mile away make me realize how important this is for the residents of TN, where many homes are built without basements and adequate shelter. I'd love to see the Grant Program instated for the safety of our community.

Storm shelters are a necessity in this state but too many people cannot afford them. We need help to pay for life saving shelter.
