The only humane and practical way to solve the issue of feral cats is to practice TNR subsidized by the town or county.

These programs are so important to the TNR communities. There are people who dedicate their own time and money to help these beautiful animals. Please keep the programs available for Islip.

A viable TNR program will help reduce euthanasia in your shelter...it turns out to be cost-efficient and a very positive image in the community. If you would like to discuss facilitating a low-cost clinic, we'd be glad to meet with you. We operated a free clinic for 22 years and know TNR works.

I am the foster coordinator for Last Hope Animal Rescue and I can tell you that a majority of people that use our Fix-A-Feral low cost feral s/n certs come from this township. I myself live in the town and find their lack of a response to humanely prevent so many homeless cats lives should be embarrassing. If they town can not provide free TNR in the very least it's should be low cost. This cats belong to the town! They themselves are residents and deserve to be protected.
Please help
