The culture of our people is one of the most important pieces of OUR college. Knowing and understanding the culture is vital to leading OUR college. KEEP IT NATIVE

I am signing this but people need to understand that by asking for this change at this point in the decision making process can have a serious impact on the accreditation of the college. I believe the level of education in our community is our greatest asset and to have a Tribal College President who is not one of our own can be detrimental to the future of not only our college but also our youth! But not having an accredited college will have an even greater impact on our community.

Yes a Native American should be running our college. It represents us in the way that it should.

This is an important topic that needs to be talked about because this is our community. Change only happens when we have the courage to speak out and bring awareness to the community.

Grow our own, our school boards are local, our BIA superintendent is local, our Hospital service unit director is local, our school superintendent is local, our school principals are local, our COLLEGE PRESIDENT should be local

There should be more points. We deserve it as we continue to be educated to work for our people at the local level.

Understanding the Chippewa culture is an integral part of providing education. Native American preference points are critical to choosing a candidate that will honor ancestors and ensure that present-day learning is more than the 3 R's.
