
TJCSGA Region II Stance Against HB 1167


House Bill No. 1167 In order to obtain a Texas concealed handgun license, a person must be at least 21 years of age (18 for members and veterans of the U.S. armed forces), not have any felony convictions, not have any pending felony charges and not have any Class A or B misdemeanor convictions within the past 5 years among several other provisions. Please sign this petition against the passage of this bill. Your region 2 TJCSGA has voted, by a land slide, against this bill. The bill would allow for individuals with Texas concealed handgun licenses to carry handguns on public junior college campuses. If signed into law, H.B. 1167 would take effect on September 1st.
