  1. Current Tiny Township Bylaws prohibit Backyard Chickens in Residential zones (HR1). As the Township moves towards a farm fresh self sustaining lifestyle, it seems only natural to allow residents to have chickens in their yards to go along with this way of life. Back yard chickens is growing in popularity every year. Back yard chickens don't smell. Back yard chickens are not noisy (Unless you were silly enough to get a rooster) . Back yard chickens eat the bugs that ruin your yard. Back yard chickens are a life learning experience (and not just for kids) . Back yard chickens have the BEST eggs. Back yard chickens create responsibility in children. Back yard chickens don't wander . Back yard chickens make great pets. Back yard chickens should be allowed in every rural town, city, village in Simcoe County.
