Time to make Hither Green Station fully accessible

My job takes me all over the world and so I regularly (at least once a week) travel with a large heavy suitcase (20kg). I am only 5'5" - and my case is very large, but it is essential to my work. The beginning of every journey for me is a struggle when starting with Hither Green Station and it's lack of step free access. I am developing painful back problems from lifting the case up and down the stairs at the footbridge. Beyond Hither Green, I can generally travel anywhere with ease, thanks to available lifts and escalators throughout my journey. But I am currently having to arrange for my partner to assist me when leaving and arriving in Hither Green (which he is not always available to do).
I cannot imagine how those in wheelchairs can possibly travel from or make connections at this station.
The footbridge itself feels wobbly and in need of reinforcement - I have seen the sheer amount of people that pass across it at the end of rush hour - it's really time we had better access to the other platforms!

Could not agree more with this campaign. Hither Green station needs a major refurbishment.

I find it extremely difficult to use the station as I have 2 children under the age of two and find myself having to carry the pan up the steps if there is no one around our having to ask for help.

I'm so fed up with having to walk miles to guarantee step-free access when I live round the corner. Please help everyone with prams etc explore our wonderful city!!!

How can we encourage more people to use public transport if stations like HG are inaccessible to pushchairs. This is a main transport hub for southeastern trains and should be available to all commuters including wheelchair users.

I am now 70 years old and can no longer carry luggage up and down steps at Hither Green station. I was very pleased that improvements to access were to be made and will find it very difficult to travel with bags if the scheme is abandoned.

This is really imoprtant - the station is used by thousands of people every day. I've fallen down the stairs trying to help someone carry a buggy.
