Dear members of the Conservative caucus: As you must be aware by now the agenda being followed by your party is not in the best interest of the Canadians whom you serve. It has been proven repeatedly that your party used illegal means to get elected. Some of the Conservative MPs have already left under less than ideal circumstances. Are you next? Your leader is involved in so many shady and secret deals and cover-ups that working so close to him will give the impression that you are complicit as well. He will be looking for new scapegoats! You could be next. Don’t for one minute think he is going to protect you. You are disposable if he decides you are. And if that isn’t reason enough, remember why you were elected by your constituents? Aren’t you supposed to be working in their best interest and according to a majority of your voters? You must be aware that the removal of protection for our lands and waterways was only implemented in order to smooth the way for the oil and gas companies to destroy our lands and waters. Are you aware of the long term damage this will cause? There are already many people globally affected by cancers and other related health problems if they’ve lived in an area where hydraulic fracturing occurs. Pipelines have been known to leak frequently and some of them cannot be stopped as people from Cold Lake, AB can tell you. This is causing long term damage that may not be recoverable for many years or centuries. Is this what you want our world to become? Think of your own families and descendants. What do you want for them? Summon up the courage you need to do what’s right. Walk away from the fiasco that is currently being run by a self- imposed dictator. We do live in a democracy, don’t we? Walk to another party or become an independent. Do your part for mother Earth and our future generations!
