Jasmin: Return the earnings for sneak peeks!

I worked on the site for around 3 months and left after they hid my profile from public saying my photos have to be "more glamourous". I thought the 30% of 2.99 wasn't worth getting professional photoshots and redecorating the room (I've been told it doesn't look good enough) for my own money. Good riddance I see. Also, they really seem to think it's only the viewers (not even paying customers!) who matter, but not the models (e.g. any angry freeloader who didn't get a free boob flash is given a right to influence the model's income by downvoting her). They should change their policy. Otherwise - let them rot in hell. Hope all their ridiculous demands and kissing freeloaders' asses help them when no model wants to work with them anymore.

I'm an lj model and I don't agree the new rule that says that all the earning from sneak peeks goes to the site. I am not showing my body naked as lj takes the benefits 100% . I want back our percentage from sneak peeks. Show us some respect !

I've been a loyal member of LJ since 2007 and seen a decline CS & Technical Support had models move to other cam sites and LJ Technology seem antiquated. LJ do what it takes to keep the models paid.

Agree. Webcam is webcam and porn is porn, I don't know, how it works on your side, but here, in Russia, models in 90% cases don't wanna be known. They wanna coming to studios and getting paid for things, which they do right here and right now. Models shocked when they know that they do not paid for what they do in show. After all, in fact Jasmine now just break well-established standards of work in the private chat. What makes sense to work on the site with a paid private, if a person can not pay? Nude photos and video tease enough. Models who want to be popular, can upload their videos on a porn site.

I'll start by saying to all financially involved with jasmin, to start turning their attention towards their other investments as I know where it goes from here. Jasmin is on its way out the door. Ever since they turned tail on their multi million dollar awards promo, which was not just embarrassing for them but crucial to their public image, for models members and affiliates, not to mention investors from other sources. They have been throwing water out of their sinking boat and running short on critical ideas for recovery ever since. The fundamental mistake I personally think they made (among many others) is their belief that girls are interested in going the professional route via TV, Physical contact porn and fame of any kind whatsoever. The reality is, they are not. This is nothing more than an income for 90% of them, that will hopefully help them start their own businesses outside of porn, pay for their educations, clear their debts or generally just improve the quality of their lives. Most girls here are not interested in a career solely aimed at porn. you're a bridge to a better future, nothing more!! Ask yourself this....Would YOU like your family/friends/work to find out what you do for money when it involves you getting naked amongst other acts (most against their own personal morals) for money? I'm guessing no and the few that are fine with it are very few in comparison to your model database (which I know is shrinking). If you really want a future in TV, why not link to it via a banner and leave it there. If girls are interested, they'll click on it, if not, they won't, it's really that simple. I already know the answer to this by looking at your video contests, which has had very little interest. That alone should have woken you up to the facts. sneaks should be no different from any other pvt time. if you are viewing a pvt you should be paying the model for the time

After seeing what you people have done here I regret signing that petition. Unfortunately I can not take my sign back. But I am letting you know that I am not in that with you anymore.

It's not fair. But it's a company decision. The best way to change things is to vote with your feet not a petition. Spend some time on another cam site. It can be 1/2 an hour a day. Even that much will take money away from LJ and it will allow you to build some members on another site. Don't try to take away customers from LJ because that's against the rules. But you will find that many of your members visit other sites and if they see you they will take you private. 30 mins away from LJ a day is a small change for a model and a potentially positive one. If 1,000 models did that...that's roughly $15,000 a day gone from LJ's pocket which is $450,000 a month. That's how to make them think.

Taking away Sneak Peek income from the models is totally unfair. They work very hard for their income and deserve just compensation for all their efforts. This comes on top of major unresolved problems with members' Favorites pages which makes it much harder to tell which models are online.
