Timber is rightly offered to the market as the only renewable building material - this is only possible if clients can rely on all wood coming from, at the very leadt, legal sources. To maintain confidence in the product, UK must stay within the EUTR commitment and I fully support the TTF campaign

The UK timber industry has made huge strides, over many years now, towards the eradication of timber imports from illegal logging operations. This has been enhanced by the TTF RPP and EUTR and it would be completely wrong, and a huge step back for the industry and markets, if the EUTR commitmnent was dropped during the Brexit process.

I fully support the UK Timber Trade Federation in pressing for the full requirements of the EUTR to be kept as UK law after the UK leaves the European Union.
