Did you know that in Toronto, 1 million coffee cups go to the landfill EVERY SINGLE Day. If we were to stack these cups on top of one another then the height would reach the same height as 216 CN Towers (Entec, 2009). Tim Hortons and other single serve coffee cups are lined with Polyethylene. This plastic liner is not 100% compostable or recyclable. There are other Eco-friendly, 100% compostable and sustainable options out there. Please sign my petition to encourage coffee company's, like Tim Horton's, to consider using Eco cup brands like Ecotainer or Natureware as a better alternative.

Miss K was able to prove that 100% compostable Eco Friendly single serve cups compost more and quicker than Tim Horton's cups. She also showed that these cups hold the heat as well as Tim Horton's. They do leak but it took them between 26 and 30 days to have their first leak.
