We will never be able to coexist with a wild animal. if they can not coexist with us then something needs to be done.

I live in Mill Valley and have seen more coyotes stocking animals and people also a lot of injured coyotes running around.

It is abnormal to have to carry weapons and sprays while taking a walk in beautiful Marin.

I totally agree with this petition. I live in Greenbrae, and the coyotes are OUT OF CONTROL. One of my cats back in 2015 was attacked by one. And he managed to survive, but is now on Prozac, and it makes him very subdued. And the two other cars have been chased numerous times. I myself have been charged by two in the last couple years. They do not fear anything anymore. We have tried hazing, like they tell us to do, but this is not working they just keep circulating more and more. Please do something. Relocate them up away from humans and our fur babies. Thank you!

We can no longer enjoy our own home gardens with our 17 lb dog, especially since our very close next door neighbor had his dog killed by a coyote a couple months ago. I can no longer walk my dog from dusk on for fear of a coyote lurking. The coyotes are even on the Belvedere Lagoon docks, and they are not water animals. It’s gone way past normal. Do I have to move (after living here 47 years) to give Coyotes their rights? Come in now. Coyotes don’t even pay taxes!

This is a joke, right? Maybe people need to stop letting their cats out of the house. People need to stop feeding the coyotes, stop putting food out for them. The coyotes are keeping the deer in check, same with the rats and other rodents that so many are happy to use toxic chemicals for. The coyotes have been here long before us and will be around long after.

The author of this petition is calling for the elimination of coyotes from the Tiburon Peninsula - this is not only impractical, unnecessary but also illegal. While recognizing the importance of controlling the animals in an urban environment - the Tiburon Peninsula is an interface with open spaces. The recommendations of the CA Dept of Fish and Wildlife, The Humane Society provide advice on co-existence. Reporting urban sightings, hazing and if necessary removal of aggressive animals is recommended - not extermination.

My neighbors often see the coyotes walking down Reed Ranch Road.

I live in near by Strawberry. We experience the same issue. I support this motion in hopes that it will be a positive step to reduce the coyote population.

Control this now before it gets worse. It won't solve itself.
