Rehabilitation of Yonkers Tibbetts Brook Park Path To: Andrew Spano (Westchester County Executive) Category: County Parks Location: Area of concern is Tibbetts Path located on Rumsey Road, Yonkers NY Preamble: Yonkers Park Hill Residents request Westchester County to address a long-standing issue of safety, environmental and security concerns; each concern exacerbated over the past few years by increased erosion, a buildup of trash, and the absence of a gate to prohibit unauthorized vehicles from entering Tibbetts Brook Path. A poorly constructed path has breached numerous safety, environmental, and security standards. The Result: 1. Danger of Being Struck by a Vehicle All that separates the one yard in diameter path from the heavily trafficked Rumsey Road is only four inches of concrete slab! Many pedestrians, families, and Yonkers High school students place themselves in jeopardy every day.
