School District 203 is trying to ruin a young girl's life to cover their own negligence. I am meeting with officials behind closed doors to demand they stop this pursuit of expulsion against a child who acted in self-defense. They ignored her pleas for help and now they want to bury her future to protect their reputation.

This is absolutely crazy. Punishing a kid for defending herself when they are bigger is wrong. Let her stay in school.
My heart breaks for this girl. Praying she gets to stay in school and move past this.
The school failed her by not stopping the bullying before it got to this point. Now they want to blame the victim? pathetic.
Total incompetence by the principal. How you gonna tell a kid to defend themselves and then expel them for it??
Expelling a 12 year old for a first offense is way too harsh. She is a child not a criminal.
