The town council just confirmed the lease agreement for our space. It has been a long and draining road to get this far but we finally have the green light to open our doors. Now the real work of building the center begins.

We are a group of 16-24 year olds who are looking for your support for our plans to set up a soft play area and cafe in Thurso. We plan to create a soft play area for children, with a cafe area for children and parents. In the cafe we are going to provide healthy homemade snacks and meals, we will also have the option of ordering healthy lunchboxes for schools for busy parents. We aim to set this business up as a social enterprise, this is where we are not primarily out to make a profit, but to promote our aims and objectives. Our aims and objectives will be to provide a local service where parents can feel comfortable to take their children. We personally feel there is a great need for this in Thurso and are looking for your support.

The amount of messages asking when we can finally open our doors has been overwhelming. It is exhausting trying to secure a space for this project but reading your stories about the lack of local facilities keeps me focused on the goal.

my little boy would love going to soft play, and Thurso is much easier and cheaper to get to than Inverness, it's about time there was more for younger kids to do up here in rural areas, I would definitely take my kids.

Definitely needed, especially on wet and windy days when my boys are needing to use up their energy!
