Although we strongly recognize the need to prove a point, we disagree that Congress should be exempt from the political, financial, and social chaos their inability to act creates. Therefore, wepetition to present the following bill:

BY LAW IT WILL BE A CONGRESSIONAL REQUIREMENT THAT ALL MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO REMAIN IN SESSION WITHOUT PAY INDEFINITELY UNTIL A BUDGET AGREEMENT IS REACHED, CONFIRMED BY VOTE,AND NORMALGOVERNMENT SERVICES HAVE BEENRESTORED.

It is our hope that by doing so, Congress will take great pains to avoid disaster for the common person, because full restoration after a shutdown takes quite awhile :)
