Please! Will it take a fatality to consider our request? There are a dozen or more streets/developments that are landlocked from the canal and basin because of the lack of sidewalk.

If Town leadership does not think there is a need, they should understand that the lack of foot traffic is not due to a lack of interest, but a fear of injury or death. I live within 1.5 miles of the Basin and have walked that bend twice in 30 years.

I too would love to walk to the Basin with family. It will not due to the lack of pedestrian safety.

There should definitely be a sidewalk in thornell. This would give better access to not only bushnells basin but also to the canal.
