As suggested by George Osborn, the government is considering adding another compulsory hour to the school day, every day! Due to this, students will lose time on being social, doing homework and physical activities. During the winter, students won't get home until the sun is down and, those who walk home, will be forced to walk in pitch black. Clubs that are held outside of school (like theatres and dance studios), and often start around four will all have to change their timing to fit in with academics.

And that's not all, Osborn also wants to shorten holidays and, eventually, make school days even longer. This is only the beginning of something that could cause stress, lack of sleep and a severe gap in the social lives of students.
