Because of misbegotten energy policies that promoted improperly-sited, industrial-scale wind energy in Vermont and other New England states, we now have the highest electric rates in the nation--and in the bargain we are driving away industry and tourism and ruining our landscape!

Wind Turbine Noise Has Been Described As Torture

In our town in rural Vermont we began to learn about industrial wind when a giant multi-national corporation proposed to build some two dozen turbines along our western town border. We started out as interested and curious citizens and ended up wiser, for sure, but shocked and adamant about doing all we could to stop the project. These giant turbines, now 500 to 600 feet in height, generate both audible and inaudible sound waves that the World Health Organization has acknowledged make people sick, often as a result of ongoing loss of sleep. Construction of the concrete pads and access roads destroys forest and contaminates headwaters of pristine streams. The turning blades kill bats and birds, including raptors. And we could go on and on. Please do not bless these behemoths with your charming advertisement. You have other genuinely beautiful things to celebrate. Industrial wind turbines are harmful, not beneficial, and they do not belong in ANYONE'S backyard.

One modest Nuclear Power plant produces 41 Kilowatts of electricity per year. (40% of all the energy needed in the state of N.H.) ALL of the wind turbines in the state of Massachusetts COMBINED don't produce a single Kilowatt! The trees they displace are more valuable for the carbon they sequester... wildlife, beauty, and solace is sacrificed for the sake of a few who profit wildly from this green renewable myth.

I will never again purchase a product from Anheuser-Busch. You are promoting a false narrative. Your commercial should highlight the suffering of the non-participating landowners who have their lives ruined by these monstrosities.

Wind generation is nothing but a terrible waste of tax dollars. They need government subsidizes to exist.
They destroy the landscape of our beautiful country while requiring fossil fuels as a backup to there inability to generate electricity.
There has to be a better way. I compare it to the “Wall” just a waste of money.

In Very poor taste and an obvious lack of knowledge and information concerning the damage wind farms have and can impact citizens and the environment.

Wind turbines are responsible for tremendous environmental and social damage wherever they are built.
Wind developers paved a ridgeline in rural Vermont to erect an array of turbines that they claim will reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 74,000 tons. Sound like a lot? That's the amount of CO2 produced by NYC traffic in less than 10 hours.
And for that, they destroyed a cool mountain forest, filled headwater streams, created a stormwater hazard that will cause flooding (adding to the pollution of Lake Champlain), accelerated the extinction of animal species by inhibiting their ability to adapt to a changing climate, and permanently divided the community.
Why would Anheuser Busch want to be associated with an industry that is hated wherever it goes?

The renewable energy answer is not as simple and romantice as "blowing in the wind". I've spent many day listening to and recording the testimonies of rural residents who's health and lifestyles have been compromised by poorly sited wind installations. Please be aware of the potential, extensive negative impacts of wind energy on human and non-human beings and on world ecosystems.

The Universal experience the world over is when industrial scale wind turbines are sited in proximity to humans and animals, they have devastating negative health impacts on them. They're simply not compatible with human habitation.

This is a disgraceful advert and a disgraceful claim. Wind Energy's Absurd had it right, on facebook and Twitter, when they said 'Budweiser: the new wind industry sock puppet'.

I urge you to make sure whoever you're buying renewable energy from use responsible and community friendly turbine siting.
