I totally agree.It works well in other countries but it will not stop unregistered,unwarranted cars on the road.The police need to do more road blocks/street by street if necessary

In U K years ago it was compulsory to have third party insurance before your car could get a MOT/WOF. You just had to produce your insurance certificate and it was signed off on the vehicle report form.

Needs to be compulsory for all car owners. Maybe include insurance as part of vehicle registration and holding a driver's license
