Ridiculous. Are they trying to lose more families? Do better.

The school budget should prioritize our kids not padding their profit margins. Keep the staffing levels where they belong.

My kid needs that second teacher. 15 kids is still a lot for one person to manage effectively.

We are paying full price for this education. Cutting staff while keeping tuition the same is completely unacceptable.

This is not what we signed up for. The extra support in the classroom is exactly why we chose this school.

I chose Buckley in part for the additional teachers, who serve not only as academic support but as trusted “safe adults” for developing children. Research shows losing this support may not affect grades right away, but it can have lasting impacts—weakening resilience, increasing risks for mental health challenges, and making it harder to build healthy professional and personal relationships. This change also feels out of step with Buckley’s usual process. Families are usually surveyed, even on small matters. Instead, we were simply informed of this reduction, without the usual inquiries—suggesting it is recognized how significant this change really is. This is not a small adjustment; it affects my child’s wellbeing. I respectfully urge the board to reconsider and keep the two-teacher classrooms for elementary students.
