It’s ok to honor those that are gone! They are still a part of us!

Shameful to not take a moment to honor those gone but not forgotten.

Sad that you want to just forget a student and their memories that they shared with they're once friend(s). Oh wait that's right students are just a # to your paycheck!

We shouldn’t have to resort to a petition to be able to honor our late classmates!

There's no reason not to do it. The class of 2022 deserves some type of closure and reassurance that their deceased classmates graduated. So disappointing to hear that our school continues to go downhill even after many of us have graduated.

Proud of these young adults for standing up for their class mates!

Why wouldn't you put 3 chairs out to honor students who passed on? No need for a petition.

The chairs are not only for their classmates to honor those missing, it’s an honorable memorial for the families who have lost their children! Step up Albert Lea HS!

These families have already gone through so much and this is something small to help recognize that these 3 students have not and will not be forgotten.

Why wouldn't the administration just simply put three empty chairs and also a small acknowledgement of the deceased? Are they short of chairs? Were they not on track to graduate? This shortsightedness is beneath the intellectual, empathetic, and caring faculty that was there for me when I went to school at Albert Lea High School. What changed?
