3G kills hockey.
3G pitches should only be laid to replace grass football pitches, never astroturf pitches.

Hockey is so important. There are much less facilities than there used to be and hockey has nowhere to go if it’s all 3G!

I am disgusted to hear that another hockey astro is under threat to football, sadly minority sports are victims to the football giants throwing their weight and money around

I know exactly how you feel. Hockey is being marginalised by this notion that all pitches must be 3g. Where is the logic. Football and Hockey amongst other sports can be played on a sand dressed or water based pitches. Only football on 3g. The FA only require 3g for tournament football. They dont require 3g for training purposes.

My club went through the same thing, mendip hockey. It was devastating for us, don’t let this happen to another club!

Hockey is a team sport which produces respect amongst young and old, great game my son has played for years , school club navy and uk armed forces

Mendip HC has recently gone through something very similar. Hockey is such an important and growing sport, let's not throw that away!
