The Caspers have been pillars of the Tampa community for many years. They have created thousands of jobs, generously given back to the community in many ways, and have worked to create iconic places to make Tampa better (e.g., Oxford Exchange). All great cities need its champions, those who have vision and that are willing to take risks to make it happen. We are fortunate to have the Caspers in our community and to have this unique and special property preserved and enhanced. It will be a first class project and another iconic place we will all be proud of. The Caspers have earned our trust to do what is right and I encourage the City Council to approve the project.

The adaptive reuse of this property will serve to foster positive growth. The plans are thoughtful, sensitive to the neighborhood, and innovative. I am totally on board with opening the exclusitivity of a Bayshore residence to a more broader audience.
