The Town of Hempstead officials are ignoring the obvious need for this facility but they cannot ignore us once we cross a hundred signatures. We are right on the edge of that milestone so post this link to your social media now to force them to pay attention.

It would be horrible to close this place down. My granddaughter loves horses and we are visiting this Saturday for the first time. I grew up going to places like this and I think it's something definitely worth keeping for the kids who love animals.
I used to attend lessons at Lakewood Stables and hope to in the future! It's so convenient for people around the area who don't want to drive far out on Long Island!!! Save Lakewood!!!
Ive volunteered at this stable, rode horses and have taken lessons there as well. Its the best trail riding in long island and the horses deserve a new barn and the people need an indoor arena. This is barn goes.back to the.civil war it should always remain.
This is a wonderful experience and these children should have the opportunity to ride indoors when it is inclement weather! And these beautiful Horses sense when they are well taken care of and Loved ! I wish I knew of this place earlier ! My daughter was introduced to Equestrian Horse Science in High School and she has a New Love for this Business and all the work involved ! She looks forward to volunteering on the No.Shore every Saturday ! VOLUNTEERING for the Disabled has been so rewarding to her! Let's open one on the South Shore too Good LUCK
I get really sick when I see those poor animals under sun and rain 12 month a year
This place and location is perfect for the area. Walking distance from Hempstead Lake park. During our family reunion cookout we walk down to take a ride around the lake.
Why, what is clearly a positive community benefit, would anyone not support this facility? Probably selfish interests which has become typical in our society, under a false pretense of some greater good. In any case, disingenuous motives.

I have been enjoying Lakewood Stables for over 25 years. They have always improved conditions for riders and horses alike with true compassion. I'm only too happy to support Lakewood Stables. They have always done an amazing job.
