Enough is enough haven’t seen my mom since March only by FaceTime missed celebrating her 90th birthday and we were only able to send card. Now still can’t see her because not enough staff we’ll there was never enough staff before this our family did everything

the last day I was in to see my mom was march 19th. I went everyday before work and would also go on weekends. This is breaking my heart Since I have not been able to visit my mom I have seen through a glass window the decline in her. Her appearance is not up to my standards, nor hers. We will never these these last 6 months back. these months have been taken from us all.

I have spent many years working with the elderly. They need their loved ones as sure as they need food and water. This is destroying their morale, causing depression and decreased desire to live.
Also, based on my experience, because nursing homes are so short staffed, I know the patients who have the most visitors receive the best care. I worry for every one of them now.

I feel so many elderly have lost so much time, loss of memories and MEMORY due to the separation of family. There needs to be a better way!

I work in a nursing home and see what's happening to these residents to cannot see their families.
