The Body Shop is known to many as a company that is ethical and socially reponsible, as well as environmentally- and animal-friendly. It is not difficult to see the reason for this, as the company continuously promotes its "values & campaigns", which are community trade, anti-animal testing, protection of the planet, activation of self-esteem and promotion of human rights. This image that is presented to the public is false. The company has failed and continues to fail to uphold its own values. There have been many instances throughout its history in which the company has gone its own values. The company's image is feeding the public false information regarding its values. It is important for consumers to get the truth about a corporation. The Body Shop's "greenwashing" must stop. The goal of this petition is to encourage The Body Shop to stop providing false information to the public, and become transparent.
