Wow just wow they don't do there job like they should or take care of stuff that they need to! I was going to take me kids but now I'm stay away till they do what is best for the animals that thay have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is inacceptable that our zoo is not being taken care of but it is preposterous that the animals are neglected as well get these animals some food water and grooming now before the animal control gets called!!!

Amarillo zoo needs more money this way it can be better taken care if and the animals need better places to live and better food and vet care they look sick

It's really sad that the city officials can worry about down town and a new baseball statium. However you allow our zoo to go to hell and the animals to be abused and neglected with out water and proper living quarters. You all should be ashamed.

Amarillo you've got to step up or close down your zoo. Its an embarrassment to your great city. Small cages, no water, bloody animals.... Who is in charge? Why aren't they going public screaming for more funding? Who's the on call vet?
I really hate to say this bit if the city can't do any better maybe its time to close the zoo.
Your not doing the public a service by providing animals in cramped cages without drinking water. Shame on Amarillo.

Completely agree! I don't take my kids to the zoo anymore because of the state the animals are in. This is cruelty! Amarillo has almost 200,000 residents, you think they'd want to take better care of the animals and update the place for guests, workers and animals can enjoy being there. Guess not.
