As a Xhosa men the preservation of our culture is very important as it gives us our identity. This ritual is not only about the physical pain a person experiences but it teaches young boys the importance of our culture and the things that young boys tend to not really view in an mature manner. This ritual is what I'd personally say creates better man for our communities. This movie "The Wound/ Inxeba" does not have a positive motive but instead it is trying to make a mockery about our culture. There are single mothers that send their children to the mountain and they know nothing about what happens there because the teachings are sacred and woman have always been excluded when it comes to the things that happen at the mountain but now this movie will not only show woman what happens there but it will be feeding them false information that will make them sceptical about sending their children to the mountain.

As a Xhosa Man I find it offensive when a subject Which is Sacred to some of people in our culture gets to be Showed and talked about in a film .Let alone having someone who never undergone through it to potray someone in those shoes, it even sucks that The project is Led By someone who disregards the seriousness of the matter. It's funny how No one Does a Movie about the Holocausts and Slavery but dares to Do a project that talks of Something Sacred Which belongs to Others cultures (Don't even ask about the viewers)

This movie must be banned. I am a xhosa man and im proud of my culture but there things we cannot share with world. I feel offended by this movie showcasing my culture for money
