I personally don't know much about what happens at the mountain, and that's mainly because most things done there are meant to be a secret. This movie is very disrespectful to Xhosa culture and I hope this petition to ban it works

Why is it that when the culture of Xhosa people needs to be portrayed in a bad way? If the movie was about gay people why did it have to include visuals of what happens at the mountain? I personally feel like this is an attack to the xhosa culture practise as the government promotes circumcision through clinics, but with such movies it badly shows an unfair story of what happens at the mountain. How can it be even that someone that has never been at the mountain comes out to comment about the scenes of what is shown in the movie. To me it makes no sense that a white person can comment on our xhosa cultural practise that by itself is disrespect.
