I love history, especially the Second World War era. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of them. And I’m glad for everything that they did. In every conflict, there is those who fight in the shadows so that others won’t. And these men, served in the shadows to protect and save everyone else. As an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, I plead with you to give what these men the unsung appreciation that they righty so deserve.

I have been aware of the Ghost Army for years, but did not know that they had not been recognized for their efforts, typical of many secret operational units. This unit was absolutely a major element that contributed significantly to not only save many lives on all sides, but allowed the front line troops and equipment to be moved for effective utilization. This is another example of "So few, contributing so much, for so many". Please press forward to award of this award to the 23rd Headquarters.

We need to recognize the men and women who have fought in any capacity, for freedom.

These men, like the Navajo code talkers, should be recognized for their service and valuable contributions to ending WWII in victory.
