The World Famous Collingwood Elvis Festival

I would like it to continue. I feel its important for the Eta keep Elvis music alive. Its a great vacation trip!

We enjoy it immensely & happily spend our accommodation, food, drink & shopping $$$$$ in Collingwood & surrounding towns (Monday of course). If it's cancelled, I guess those $ will end up in Tweed (I've never been there but I hope they can duplicate the fun).

I have only been attending this festival for the last couple of years; it is a lot of fun and I have met some great people and have become good friends with most of them. As others have said, 'look at the business it brings to Collingwood.' Collingwood Elvis Festival should stay!!

The biggest & best Elvis festival must continue! Other than celebrating Elvis’ legacy... for the last two years that I have been coming & performing, I have seen first hand just how much business, pleasure & tourism this festival has bought to the town of Collingwood :) Why would anybody want to stop that. Small businesses, restaurants, shops etc all benefit from 1000’s of people coming to Collingwood, Blue Mountain & surrounding areas. I for one would be so disappointed if this wonderful festival stopped. Viva Las Collingwood !!!!!! Garry J Foley xx

This is a great Festival that you must keep going, have been attending know for five years And it is now my yearly holiday. It is an awesome time and Collingwood is a beautiful place to hold it.

do not get rid of Elvis week in Collingwood.

This festival has been going on for 24 years. The amount of money that comes into the businesses (restaurants, hotels, stores etc) should be enough reason alone to keep it going. There is also the worldwide attention that this little town in Ontario gets from this festival surely increases travelers all year round who were previously unaware of its existence before It. No other type of festival would garner the same kind of loyalty and yearly turnouts. New town councils come and go with there great ideas......The Collingwood Elvis Festival should stay!

I haven't been to Collingwood yet, but I have a lot of friends that has gone and they love performing for the fans and I would love to do it myself as ETA one day.

This is one of a kind. Collingwood needs this concert, we all need this concert. Keep Elvis alive !

Collingwood will notice quite a drop in its tourist dollars if the festival is discontinued. How else can you bring this many people willing to spend money to our town for 2 or 3 days during the height of summer? I hope the council will have the foresight to realize this. Many other towns or cities will only be too happy to have the chance to host this money and publicity generating event.

I have been taking people who need support for 20 years. This is the highlight of their year. It needs to continue

I have been volunteering at the Elvis Festival alongside my family for 10 years, started when I was 10 and would love to watch the Festival keep growing!
