If you play the Witcher 3 you've experienced this; finding an awesome new relic weapon or peice of armour that has great buffs and three sockets but it's so under your player level it's compeletly useless. So you reside yourself with dumping it in your chest, breaking it up for parts or hawking it for a few hundred crowns. Never having been able to enjoy using it.

Well I have a plan to change that with this petition. What I'll be petitioning for, with your support, is for Relic class level upscaling!!

Here's how it might work;

You take your under-levelled relic class peice of armour or weapon to a master blacksmith or armourer, dependant on the item.

You pay them 1000 crowns per level and supply a randomly selected material (like diamond dust or a meteorite silver ingot) and they then upscale your relic weapon or armour to your current player level.

This increases its attributes - damage and other buffs - inline with the new level.

This increase would be applied based on however the game calculates levelled attributes for weapons and armour.

Pretty cool right? Never have a useless relic weapon or peice of armour again!

However, to maintain balance in the game there are five conditions to upscaling relic class weapons/armour;

- It's expensive. At 1000 crowns per level when you upscale is going to be important. Leave it too long and it could cost you. Upscaling a level 8 sword to level 28 is going to drain 20,000 crowns out of your coin purse.

- You are restricted to doing this TWICE per weapon/peice of armour. So when you chose to do it is also important to make sure you get the most out of your newly levelled gear.

- Only the master blacksmith and armourer can do this. So if you haven't completed the quests to unlock their workshops you can't upscale your stuff.

- All the sockets for runes/glyphs must be empty and the weapon must be in perfect condition (100% durability)

- The weapon or armour will only upscale to your current player level. You cannot chose how many levels to upscale it, you cannot downscale it either.

As CD Projekt Red have been providing excellent support for the game in the way of great DLCs and patches I hope that they will respond positively to this suggestion if we get enough support for the idea.
