Are you a college student that has had enough with finding a parking space for 15 minutes? Sign this petition to get your voice heard! Parking in the gravel in Georgia Gwinnett College increases the changes of getting a flat tire and wears them out quicker. It gets way too dangerous when it rains. If you get a flat tire, the school isn't going to pay for it. On the other hand, you pay for parking with your hard earned money, and still end up having to park far from classes, and in the horrible gravel. It is also dangerous for students safety. There are no cameras, the lights aren't very helpful, and finding a parking space is dreadful and consuming.

Colleges accept at least 30,000 students a semester, and provide about 300 parking space. College students and supporters must come together to take action. It is time for a change! Colleges need to start adding asphalt everywhere, and making every day a good parking day!
Many college student face this problem in other colleges. Parking is a big dilemma for us college students, whether it’s living off or on campus. This ridiculous issue needs to be resolved once and for all. Parking causes time to be taken away from us. Next, it causes us to be late for class and miss precious information that we need to know to pass the course. Our money is not being used wisely in the parking department. Which is very bothering some, especially when it comes to gravel. I’m sure we can budget some money to upgrade it to asphalt. Also, the damage that gravel can cause to your car as the semester goes by is unnecessary, if not properly maintained. The challenge of parking off campus and exposing to a parking ticket. There is a requirement of greenery that needs to be met, but considering how big campus’ are, it should be enough. Colleges need to make more parking, so students can reach their class quicker.

Georgia Tech- 25,017 Students 412 Parking space
KSU- 30,000 Students 387 Parking space

The administration has acknowledged the surge in pressure and I have secured a meeting with the campus facilities lead for next week. I am currently drafting a formal proposal to outline the immediate risks posed by the gravel lots. You will receive an update on the outcome of that meeting once it concludes.

I end up circling for 20 mins every single morning. Missed half the lecture yesterday because of it.
SERIOUSLY. Stop taking our money and fix the lot!!
My tire actually popped in that gravel lot last month. Ridiculous that we pay so much for a parking permit just to end up stranded.
The walk from back there is way too dark at night. Really scary when you have an evening class.
We need paved spots now. Gravel is a huge joke for a school this size.

If we are paying for parking services that is included in the tuition that we have to initially pay for then we should be given the best parking spaces and availability.
