The Ugandan Government should Reverse the Decision to Tax Social Media Usage

As churchill for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket & trying to lift himself up by the handle.

This tax is a constraint to freedom of expression. It ignores and it is in contravention with Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 which states that the fundamental right of freedom of expression encompasses the freedom to seek,receive and impact information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers.

This tax is ridiculous. ..

This is not just tax but censorship of the Internet and access to information hence abuse of one of the fundamental human rights.

Unconstitutional tax on many levels.

Government should manage their expenses better instead of trying to overburden the populace. This tax lacks any justification and it is weird. How do they tax us for using apps the Ug Gov't did not develop? Let's go to court.

it's unbelievable that the government is taxing citizens for using social media applications they dint make, it makes no sesnse at all, every citizen has a right to communication! the OTT tax should be revised
