Tyler Lockwood has lived in Mystic Falls his whole life. When we were first introduced to him he was, well, kind of a dick. But he grew, he changed and became a better person. In the space of a few years Tyler lost both his parents and now the only thing he has left are his friends. The thought of Tyler out there by himself, on the run because a dangerous psychopath wants to murder him, is heartbreaking. He deserves to able to come back to Mystic Falls, to come back to his home. He deserves to be able to be with Caroline and all his friends, like Matt, Elena and Bonnie.
