The idea of a sanctuary is to rescue animals from cruelty and neglect. Clearly this Santuary is everything the animals should have been safe from.

As a former volunteer, I spent the better of 3 years at WWS and that was 3 years ago and it was the same then. As a RVT I offered to assist in keeping health records and made exam sheet and record keeping sheet for each individual species. I was told binders would be made for each species to keep track of medical records and notes. This was never done. I was also asked to help organize events but was had extreme difficulty in getting the support or organization from the board required to proceed. Lastly everything that has been mentioned above is true and was true 3 years ago as well. Plus so many other wrong doings. It's one thing to have a sanctuary, and we love you for creating it but you can't run ity dear and we are all here to help of you will just let us.

The board must first recognize and acknowledge that they are imperfect human beings who made mistakes. We all are. As long as board continues to deny this basic fact, they will remain unable to learn from and correct the mistakes they’ve been making. Ultimately, we all want what is best for our animal friends. Unfortunately, the board has been reluctant to listen to voices of reason so this situation has escalated to the sad point it is at now. For anyone to admit that they need help and to accept help when it’s offered requires equal parts wisdom, humility and strength of character. I hope the board will rediscover these qualities within themselves for the sake of the entire Wishing Well family.

Volunteering at WWS, meeting and getting to know both the animals and humans there changed my life. I love them with my whole heart. More than anything I want these animals to be taken care of and loved as they deserve. I hope this can be settled compassionately and without harm to them.

Wishing Well Sanctuary can reach great heights with a knowledgeable and highly experienced new board members. There are 50+ x-volunteers ready to return once a new BOD are in place.

After going vegan and discovering sanctuaries exist, I thought I would never have to worry about neglect or mistreatment of animals by fellow vegans but the board of Wishing Well Sanctuary made me see I was wrong.
Animals deserve the best care! At least up to
Standards at least health and safety first!

I love WWS, and all of its residents. It's for this reason that I wish to see impactful, positive change that'll allow us to better care for the residents, and make it the amazing place it's meant to be!
